ATO bargaining has concluded; all-staff vote in late February
On 25 January we had our last formal bargaining meeting with the ATO. Even though bargaining meetings have concluded, your CPSU bargaining team has been working hard with the ATO on drafting the proposed Enterprise Agreement before it goes to an all-staff vote.
The ATO has put forward a timetable that will see us voting on our new agreement from 20 to 27 February. The CPSU is supporting a Yes vote in the ATO to secure our new conditions with no loss of entitlements.
12 months ago, ATO workers told us your priorities for a new enterprise agreement:
- Flexible working arrangements, including work from home, that focus on your needs
- Scrapping the work from home cap
- Protect our hard fought for conditions like the 7:21 work day and Christmas Shutdown
- Real, effective consultation rights giving you the ability to have your say on decisions that impact you
- Broadbanding for Service Delivery officers, giving new pathways for career advancement
- Protections to ensure workloads are not unreasonable
CPSU members and your CPSU bargaining team have been able to secure these and so much more in this bargain in both service wide and ATO specific bargaining. Now the time has come for us to lock in what is the best conditions package we have seen in the ATO and across APS since the start of enterprise bargaining. Voting Yes in the upcoming all-staff ballot is the only way you can guarantee access to these wins on conditions.
Bargaining was only just the beginning
While all eyes are now on the drafting and upcoming all-staff ballot, the CPSU knows that this is only the beginning. Once a new enterprise agreement comes into place, your union will be working hard to ensure all our members are able to access their newly secured conditions. Join today to make sure you have access to the flexibility and conditions you are looking for. CPSU support is only available for CPSU members.
