As reported yesterday, CPSU and ABC representatives met with Comcare Inspectors this morning to discuss the WHS concerns in Archives and Library. The meeting was constructive, and the following have been agreed by the parties:

  1. ABC will provide the CPSU with its WHS risk assessment, and details of its ongoing WHS monitoring in Archives and Library including the provision of information for the upcoming Town Hall Meeting on 30 October and its proposed Action Plan.
  2. ABC will promote various channels for Archives and Library staff to provide their WHS feedback in the Town Hall meeting including via line managers, WHS team, Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) and the CPSU.
  3. ABC commitment to review its broader WHS consultative processes.
  4. ABC to provide a national list of Work Groups and HSR structures to the CPSU.
  5. Joint commitment to review, and potentially propose to vary work group structure with adequate and accessible HSRs for Archives and Library staff.
  6. Comcare Inspectors to hold follow up discussions with the ABC and CPSU respectively after the Town Hall Meeting on 30 October to see how the agreed plan is tracking.

CPSU will be providing your supplementary feedback to the ABC on Monday 23 October. If you have any additional feedback that you would like to be included by the CPSU specifically, please email it to me by COB tomorrow.

We will touch base with Archives and Library members again after the Town Hall meeting on 30 October. In the interim please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss.
