I don’t know what I would have done without the union
The CPSU Member Service Centre assisted long term member Drew in an unsettled working environment.
Increasing uncertainty about jobs being moved overseas, changing duties and management getting stingy with performance ratings was stressing him out. With the MSC's support Drew was able to stand up to dubious performance rating practices and get some clarity around his roles and responsibilities.
After offering to support him in meetings with management, Drew felt able to raise his concerns on his own knowing he had the support of his union. Drew called back to let us know that management had offered him a VR, which he was very happy about. He told us “I don’t know what I would have done without the union".
