CRS Bargaining

The CPSU is committed to working with you to get the outcomes you want in CRS. There are three key factors to getting genuine improvements in your pay, conditions, and rights...

Key Factors

  1. You - being a member of your union, join online here
  2. Your participation – in the bargaining process by attending meetings, providing feedback
  3. Your union – providing skilled negotiators and expert advice.

Revenue vs Expenditure

The Australian National Audit Office estimates that it costs an organisation about $55,000 to replace each employee who leaves. This cost includes recruitment, training, time lost in productivity and lost intellectual property.

Considering this, it is more efficient to retain existing staff by maintaining wages and providing conditions that we value. Similarly, inadequately resourced positions with increasing workloads risks higher staff turnover which is counter productive to increasing productivity - a balanced approach is required.

The endorsed CPSU bargaining claim put to CRS managing in June 2008 outlines decent pay and fair conditions including a number of measures we believe will have the effect of increasing revenue and decreasing expenditure in CRS.
