I’m a union delegate because I care about people.
How long have you worked at the ABC and why are you a union delegate? I first started working here in 2007 and I’m a union delegate because I care about people.
Funniest thing that’s happened to you at work? There’s quite a few but I can’t tell you about them here…
If you could change one thing about the ABC what would it be? At the moment it would be the anti-social design of the Ultimo building. You need a swipe to get into just about every section and it keeps people separated.
Finish this sentence, If I was king for a day I would… take pull handles off push doors.
What advice would you give to someone who has just started working at the ABC? The first thing I would say is join the union. The second thing I would say is that you are surrounded by experts. A lot of the people that work here are very good at their jobs, highly specialised and in some cases world class leaders in what they do. And this is not a common thing in workplaces. And join the union. (laughs)
On a sunny weekend you’ll find me… on a bar stool at the football. Actually it would be in a pub in Sydney on a bar stool pining to be in Melbourne at the football.
