Part time work

Did you know?

  • That currently your agreement commits the department to remove artificial barriers to part time work. This commitment has been removed from DAWR’s proposed Enterprise Agreement
  • That currently your agreement requires consideration of a part time request against the employee’s personal needs and operational requirements.  This provision has been removed from DAWR’s proposed EA.
  • That currently your agreement says managers will not unreasonably oppose requests for part time work. This has been removed from DAWRs proposed EA.
  • That currently your agreement says that if a part time request is refused the manager must discuss appropriate alternative options and the employee informed of avenues to seek a review. This requirement has been removed from DAWR’s proposed EA.
  • That currently your agreement states full time workers cannot be compelled to go part time. This provision has been removed from DAWR’s proposed EA.

It’s mean, it’s sneaky and it doesn’t support part time DAWR staff or those who wish to go part time.

And remember if it’s in policy, and not in the enterprise agreement, it can be removed or changed at any time.
