This week will see the DHS Agreement 2017-2020 submitted to the Fair Work Commission for certification. The pay increase will be effective from the date of certification and we expect that pay increases to be paid in the first pay cycle following certification.
One of the most frequent questions we have been asked by members and staff is how we can avoid ever having negotiations drag on for so long without compensation. The answer is clear. We need to campaign with members to change the rules of bargaining.
