Belated victory: MP Fran Bailey Belated victory: MP Fran Bailey

Voters demand action on State Gov't shortcomings, Fran Bailey prevails in McEwen, Feds announce crackdown on political advertising and Chaser call to defy Pope laws.

End the blame game: As the Coalition of Australian Governments meet in Sydney today, new polling suggests voters want Kevin Rudd to get tough with poorly performing State Governments. More from The Australian here.

Bailey retains McEwen: Over six months on from last year's Federal Election, the battle for McEwen has been won, with the Federal Court ruling in favour of Liberal incumbent and former Tourism Minister Fran Bailey. Report from The Age here.
